- 1.1 General
- 1.2 Permissions
- 1.3 Recipients
- 2 Space Administration
General Settings
Navigate to Confluence Administration → click on the “Page Beam” menu link on the left side under the “Apps” sections and you will see the “Page Beam General Settings” tab.
General
Define if the Page Beam feature should be enabled or disabled globally. The default state after installation is enabled.
Multiple scenarios can be configured and achieved:
Example 1: Disable Page Beam globally + Enable Page Beam in specific spaces
Example 1: Enable Page Beam globally + Disable Page Beam in specific spaces
This allows the ultimate flexibility and security for the space access to this feature.
Permissions
Configure the permission set for user access to the Page Beam feature:
Allow all users
Every user in confluence will be globally entitled to use the Page Beam feature for sending pages via mail
Allow specific groups
Only user which are members of the defined groups will be able to use the Page Beam feature for sending pages via mail.
Users which are excluded from using the Page Beam feature, will still see the Page Beam button on pages but they will instead see a message which explains them the missing permissions to use Page Beam.
Enforce these permissions in all Confluence spaces
If you activate this check box, the global settings will be enforced to all spaces independently even if some spaces have specific Page Beam configurations.
Recipients
This setting can be used to permit the sending of emails to only certain recipient domain addresses (whitelist).
In the Recipient field of the Page Beam form, it is displayed to users if domains are not allowed.
This also applies when sending to internal Confluence users. When searching in the Recipient field of the Page Beam form, only Confluence users with approved mail addresses will be found.
Space Administration
The same setting can be configured on space administration level. Move to a space and find the Page Beam configuration there to specify the settings for the space.
