Guide for Mail Server setup
Login to your google account
Move to account settings
Open the “Security” configuration on the left sidebar
Activate two step verification
After activation move to “App passwords”
Select for both fields “other” - The fields requested are “app” and device
Provide a name for the app password
Click on generate and copy the password
Move back to your confluence cloud instance and navigate to the mail page server configuration in the administration of confluence
Save your password securely. You can not access it again.
SMTP server details
Server name: Provide a server name
From address: <Your Address>@smtp.gmail.com
From name: Define a name for the sending party of the mail
Subject prefix: Define a prefix to be used in the mail subject
Server hostname
Server hostname: smtp.gmail.com
Server port:587
Username: Use your goole account name (<Your Address>@Your-Domain.com)
Password: Use your goole account password
