Share an excerpt of a page with link

Alternatively to sending the entire Confluence page, only a specific excerpt of a Confluence page can be sent via Page Beam. At the end of the email, a button with a link to the full page will then appear.
This can be used, for example, to make users interested in certain content and encourage them to go to the Confluence system (intranet use case).
To do this, you first add a Confluence macro excerpt to a page or use an existing one.
And then you can select the option “Only send excerpt of this page with link” in the Page Beam mail form:

If there is no excerpt on the page, the option in the Page Beam mail form is grayed out:
By default the first excerpt of a Confluence page is sent. If you want to use a different, specific excerpt on the page, it must have the name “pagebeam”.
