  1. Login to Google Account and navigate to SecuritySigning in to Google → App passwords

    If you don’t have this option “App passwords”, it might be because you have set up not 2-Step Verification for this account. Then you have to set up 2-Step Verification first:

  2. In the next step, choose “Mail” as app and “Other” as device:

    Then give your app password e.g. the name "Mail Page App" and click generate.

Configuring Mail Page App

If Gmail is used as mail server, all mails will be sent from the email address of the Gmail account (the Username). The "From Address" field in the Mail Page admin page is ignored.

  1. Go to your Confluence Cloud instance and navigate to the mail page configuration in the administration to configure the SMTP Server
